College Football preview.

As the College Football regular season winds down, quite a few NFL Draft prospects have broken out or affirmed preseason hype. This week, a few big draft names will face formidable tests.

All listed times are Eastern Standard Time.

Shakur Brown, Cornerback, Michigan State v. Ohio State (12 PM, ABC): While Michigan State hasn’t had a strong season, junior cornerback Shakur Brown has broken out in a big way. With five interceptions in five games this year, Brown has been a playmaker for the Spartans defense. Brown and the Spartans don’t have an easy task against Ohio State’s passing game, but any hope they have at an upset relies on Brown’s ability to make a few of the big plays he’s been known for this season.

Mike Rose, Linebacker, ISU v. West Virginia (3:30 PM, ESPN): Mike Rose is one of the top linebackers in the country and a bug factor in ISU’s 7-2 start to the season. The junior defender has a nose for the ball and has picked off four passes so far this season. WVU has a really impressive running game that Rose will be tasked first and foremost with stopping.

Jamar Johnson, Safety, Indiana v. Wisconsin (3:30 PM, ABC): Jamar Johnson has been the leader of Indiana’s talented secondary. Johnson is a playmaker who has forced four turnovers this season and been all over the field for the Hoosiers. He will be tested against a Wisconsin offense that plays balanced, mistake free football. Johnson will have to create some rare errors for the Badgers if Indiana wants to come out with a win.

Zion Tupuola-Fetui, Edge, Washington v. Stanford (4 PM, Fox): Zion Tupuola-Fetui is one of this year’s biggest breakout stars and a fast riser in the NFL draft ranks. The redshirt sophomore has seven sacks in three games this season. His size at 6’3”, 280 pounds is pro-ready and he is an outstanding athlete. His reign of terror likely continues today against Stanford.

Zach Wilson, Quarterback, BYU v. CCU (5:30 PM, ESPNU): No game this week has the draft and college football implications of BYU’s showdown with CCU. Two Cinderella teams with unbeaten records are playing for a chance at a surprise playoff berth. Zach Wilson, BYU’s star quarterback and a potential first round pick in 2021, will be passing against a CCU defense that has picked off 11 passes and piled up 31 sacks in only nine games. The Chanticleers are an enormous test for Wilson, who has been playing phenomenal football all year. This could be a signature game for the first round hopeful.
