Philadelphia Eagles. Acquire: Packers LB Oren Burks. Trade: WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside. Linebacker is reportedly the Eagles’ priority at the deadline, but Howie Roseman, who’s pulled off plenty of player-for-player swaps in the past, can’t really afford to surrender draft capital or cap room. Burks is a young, rangy player without a secure home in Green Bay.

Arcega-Whiteside and a seventh-round pick to Packers for linebacker Oren Burks. Who says no? Neither team. [...] The best deal here is acquiring Burks, a 2018 third-round pick with an appealing athletic profile who has played only 10 percent of the defensive snaps this season in Green Bay. Ideally, this deal could be executed without the seventh-round pick as a sweetener, but it makes sense for both sides as a change-of-scenery trade.

Report: Eagles make Will Parks available for trade - BGN
One would think the market for Parks isn’t robust given how he was available for relatively cheap in free agency and he missed some time due to injury. Would think the Eagles could be looking at a seventh-round pick in return. Or maybe some other team’s backup at a position of need like linebacker. Trading Parks could help the Eagles save come cap space in addition to opening up playing time for rookie fourth-round pick K’Von Wallace and/or Marcus Epps, whom the coaching staff seems to like. Calling up Grayland Arnold from the practice squad is another possibility. It seems like the Eagles have seen enough to feel that Parks isn’t going to be a long-term piece for them. If that’s the case, they could be looking to get something in return while they can ahead of the 4:00 PM deadline on Tuesday, November 3. Otherwise, maybe they just cut him?

There is no stopping Travis Fulgham WR1 szn — it was just another ho-hum 5-73 receiving line with alpha target share and air-yard usage. He is an upside WR3 moving forward. Desean Jackson’s season is likely over, and his usage will filter straight to Jalen Reagor, who appears set to return from injury in Week 8. View Reagor as you would Jackson — a boom/bust player who can win you a week if he connects on a deep shot or two. I am excited to see if the Eagles prioritize Reagor’s role in the offense, and there is a distinct possibility he siphons usage from Fulgham. Richard Rodgers stepped into the TE1 role and instantly had more receiving yards than Zach Ertz has had in any game this season. He is an unexciting streaming option with a strong matchup against the Cowboys. Boston Scott jumped into the bell-cow role without missing a beat — that 55% route rate is just a tad bit less than Miles Sanders’ typical 70% rate. Fire up Scott as a top-15 RB if Sanders misses Week 8

Carson Wentz has rushed for five touchdowns in his seven games this season, an unsustainable total that may have fantasy players underrating how much he has struggled as a passer. Visually, he hasn’t looked as sharp this year as he has in the past, but I’m still willing to place most of the blame for his passing inefficiency on his offensive line. Andre Dillard and Brandon Brooks have been out all season. Isaac Seumalo and Jason Peters have been on injured reserve — although Peters could return this week. And Lane Johnson has dealt with ankle and now knee injuries. Widespread offensive line injuries would disrupt a quarterback whenever they happened, but the Eagles have faced a series of opponents perfectly fitted to exacerbate the issue, including top-10 pass-rushing teams in Washington (10.8% adjusted sack rate, second), the Rams (8.3%, sixth), the Steelers (11.0%, first), and the Ravens (7.8%, ninth). The Cowboys (6.1%, 18th) this weekend should make things much easier; they generally increase passing yards and touchdowns per attempt by 10% and 55% and cut interceptions and fumbles per attempt by 84% and 29%. With that plus matchup, playing at home, and playing at night after the winds in the region die down, Wentz vaults from seventh in my true-talent quarterback rankings to third this week.

11 — Richard Rodgers vs. DAL. Rodgers slides into a defined tight end role for Philadelphia, given the absences of Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert. The Cowboys are a plus matchup for tight ends, allowing a 34-347-4 line on 47 targets thus far. I mean, if Logan Thomas can pop in this matchup, so can Richard Rodgers.

Favorable matchup: Richard Rodgers, Philadelphia Eagles (versus Dallas Cowboys). Give him some credit for a big Week 7, as his 14.5 PPR fantasy points represented the most the opposing New York Giants have afforded a tight end all season. Rodgers played 85% of the Eagles’ offensive snaps in that game, ran 29 routes and earned a 20% target share, all of which bode well for this extremely favorable all-around matchup for the team’s passing game. While the Cowboys do typically struggle to rein in wide receivers, they haven’t been that much more fortunate containing tight ends, and Carson Wentz does tend to rely on tight ends frequently, what with injuries and a general lack of depth at receiver. Just look at last week: Logan Thomas enjoyed a season-best 16.0 PPR fantasy points against the Cowboys, and he did it by catching all four of his targets against them.

The Cowboys face another huge challenge in the form of the Eagles defensive line stacked with talent. The young offensive linemen are going up against a team with the ability to rush from the defensive tackle position as well as the defensive ends. This defensive front is hands down the strength of this football team and the Cowboys have no shot at winning this game if they are unable to give rookie starting quarterback Ben DiNucci time in the pocket. Look for offensive coordinator Kellen Moore to use DiNucci’s legs to move the pocket and Ezekiel Elliott to make things easier for the young quarterback.

#4 Overall defense — Only three NFL defenses are giving up fewer yards per game than Washington: the 6-0 Steelers, the 4-2 Colts and the 5-2 Buccaneers. The Steelers and Bucs are leading their respective divisions; the Colts and Washington are each in second place in theirs. #1 Passing defense — It turns out that Washington is first overall in the league in passing defense, as measured by yards per game surrendered, with opposing teams averaging just 185.9 yards per game through the air.

The news of the day is, of course, Will Hernandez testing positive for COVID-19. Hernandez has already been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, while another five offensive linemen were sent home while they await test results. It’s worth noting that the players who were sent home after close contact with Hernandez are not considered “high risk” contacts and could be eligible to return as early as Friday following consecutive negative tests for COVID-19. If so, most of the Giants’ starting offensive line should be intact for Monday Night Football.
