Shocker.

The Philadelphia Eagles made a change to their Injury Report on Saturday morning: Carson Wentz is now officially OUT for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Wentz was originally ruled “doubtful” on Friday’s final injury report despite the fact Doug Pederson said he was going to be ruled “questionable.”

Of course, Wentz being questionable would’ve never made sense since he’s dealing with a stress fracture in his back that could take up to “three months”, according to Pederson, to recover. Wentz did not participate in practice this week.

For some reason, Wentz will still be traveling with the team to L.A. It doesn’t seem like there’s good reason for a guy with a back injury to go on a long, cross-country plane ride.

With Wentz out, the Eagles will start Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles at quarterback. It’s up to Foles to help keep Philadelphia’s long shot playoff hopes alive as the Eagles enter the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as 14 point underdogs. No pressure.

Third-year quarterback Nate Sudfeld will now be the No. 2 quarterback for the Eagles.
