Daryl Worley reportedly finds new team after being cut by Eagles

Gruden!

Former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley has a new NFL home. The 23-year-old defender is signing with the Oakland Raiders, according to a report from Josina Anderson.

Worley was officially released by the Eagles last Sunday just eight hours after being arrested in South Philly. It turns out that Worley is facing several charges related to his arrest, including: driving under the influence, carrying firearms without a license, carrying firearms in public, possessing instrument of crime with intent, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct for engaging in fighting.

To no surprise, Worley passed through waivers unclaimed after the Eagles cut him. But now the Raiders are giving the 2016 third-round pick a second chance. Jon Gruden’s team has had an offseason filled with ... interesting ... personnel decisions and this is just the latest newsworthy roster move for them.

The Eagles just played the Raiders last season so these teams won’t be facing off again in the regular season until 2021. We’ll see if Worley makes it that far. He only made it 37 days in Philly after the Carolina Panthers traded him to the Eagles in exchange for Torrey Smith.
