Connor Barwin visiting Los Angeles Rams, report says

Where will Barwin end up?

Connor Barwin’s free agency tour continues on Wendesday. The former Philadelphia Eagles defensive end is in L.A. to meet with the Rams, according to a report from Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times.

Barwin’s visit with the Rams makes sense since Los Angeles employs his former defensive coordinator with the Houston Texans: Wade Phillips. The Rams’ new 3-4 scheme figures to be a good fit for his services.

Multiple teams have shown interest in Barwin since the Eagles released the veteran defender last week. He reportedly had a visit with the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday. The Green Bay Packers are also said to be interested in Barwin and some have speculated he could return to the Texans.

Barwin was a great guy and a good player for the Eagles ever since signing with Philadelphia in 2013. It was apparent he wasn’t a good fit for the Eagles’ 4-3 defense, however, and cutting him for a cap savings of $7.75 million was a no-brainer.

Seeing Barwin reunited with his old coordinator on the Rams would be a nice outcome for him.
