Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly has stated that he is feeling good following his long injury layoff.
Bailly enjoyed a strong start to life at Manchester United this season but a serious knee injury suffered during the 4-0 defeat against Chelsea back in October meant that the defender was ruled out for two months.
Bailly returned to action with the Red Devils before heading off to the African Cup of Nations in Gabon and having put in a strong display in Ivory Coast 0-0 draw with Togo on Monday, the ex-Villarreal man has gone on to state following the game that he has completely recovered from the knee problem.
The 22-year-old said after Ivory Coast’s AFCON opener: “I’m fine.
“The injury happened, but I have recovered physically and it feels good.”
The Elephants next take on DR Congo in Group C in Oyem on Friday.
