Game Day Morning ‘Dawg Bites And Open Thread

RedCrake is rehearsing to tour with the Stones this spring (they’re finally adding a kazoo section), so unfortunately you’re stuck with me this Morning. But it’s not just any morning, it’s the final game day morning of the 2023 Georgia Bulldogs football season. That calls for some special tunes. Maestro, the music:

The big news for today is the ““will he or won’t he” cloud surrounding Brock Bowers:

Bowers and Amarius Mims were indeed both at practice yesterday. I still think it’s more likely than not that Bowers and Mims are not playing. But I appreciate both their staying engaged with the team and Kirby’s vicious gamesmanship.

One player who definitely won’t be on the field today is transfer receiver London Humphreys. However in his limited time with his new target Carson Beck has already reached some encouraging conclusions.

It’s now certain that Georgia will be without offensive line coach Stacy Searels today as he remains in the hospital recovering from pneumonia. It sounds like offensive assistant Manrey Saint-Amour has filled in admirably in Miami though. I guess that’s further proof that depth is important at every position.

Finally, our friends at Tomahawk Nation, SB Nation’s Florida State site, have their staff predictions and game notes up for your perusal. It sounds like the TN staff are realistic about their chances.

We’ll be back with your customary game threads this afternoon. Until then…

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
