Tyson Campbell Headed To The NFL

Junior defensive back Tyson Campbell is joining the ranks of UGA underclassmen headed for the pros.

Campbell was among the players some observers thought might stay for another season, but the 6’2, 185 pounder out of Plantation, Florida looks to be a pretty closely watched prospect during the evaluation process. Campbell started at cornerback in all 10 games in 2020, finishing with 29 tackles and 5 pass breakups.

It’s another blow for a Bulldog secondary that also loses safety Richard LeCounte and corners Eric Stokes, DJ Daniels, and Mark Webb. There have also been some serious message board rumblings that sophomore Tyrique Stevenson could consider a transfer closer to home. All in all, it looks like a talented but young UGA secondary will head into 2021 looking to fill a ton of holes. Until later....
