Thursday Morning ‘Dawg Bites Wants To Know What You’re Thinking

Welcome to Thursday, Bulldog Fans! Having swept the SEC East and making consecutive trips to the SEC Championship Game, laying waste to our rivals so far, and a #5 College Football Playoff ranking, one would believe the fandom would have solid insight into this iteration of Bulldog football. But so many questions remain - who will play based on injuries, who will start at cornerback opposite Baker, which quarterback will do what and when (and a lot of “why”), will the coaches take the foot off the gas if the opportunity arises, what preparation for Georgia Tech’s special brand of football has taken place, and so many more. So really, we really just want to know what you’re thinking? Please, Georgia coaching staff, tell us what’s on your mind!

We know what we don’t know. And now we’ll see if we can help some of you know some more. On to news and notes in the Bulldog world:

Who indeed will start at cornerback with Deandre Baker? The Macon Telegraph reports it will likely be a different freshman. A nice piece on the boys in the back.

With a little more color to the discussion, Dawgnation delves into several of the starting lineup changes, or what might come to pass.

Staying in the defensive backfield, Deandre Baker is a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Award. This won’t change his draft stock, and it will be a long shot, but it is a helluva nice recognition.

Speaking of awards, AJ Green and Todd Gurley continue a fine tradition of sportsmanship in the NFL ranks from former Bulldogs.

Who wants to talk about the red zone offense? The Red & Black did, albeit briefly.

And who wants to talk about the Classic City quarterback quandary? ESPN does, albeit more than briefly.

No matter how bad you think things are, and they are not bad in any sense, at least we’re not Earlham College. If I had ever heard of ‘em, I’d feel bad for ‘em.

We’ll be back with more of your favorites leading up to Game Day. Feel free to share your own news and rumours with the fine readership of Dawg Sports in the comments below. And as always...

GO ‘DAWGS!!!
