Best New York Giants By The Numbers - 63

Doug Van Horn played on the line for the New York Giants between the years 1968 and 1979, wearing number 63.  Interestingly, he was drafted in both the AFL and NFL in 1966 out of Ohio State.  The Kansas City Chiefs of the AFL took Van Horn with pick number 39 in 1966.  The Detroit Lions selected him with pick number 55 in 1966.

Van Horn wound up as a member of the Detroit Lions, spending one year in Michigan, before heading to New York for the 1968 season.  Playing both guard and tackle, Van Horn became a mainstay on the Giants offensive line.  He started 139 of 158 regular season games he played with New York.
