(Breaking News) UAB’s Bill Clark retires

Here is the link via (www.al.com) https://www.al.com/uab/2022/06/bill-clark-retiring-as-uab-head-football-coach.html

This came out of left field because nobody had any idea of what was happening. An apparent back injury (or issues) has forced Head Coach Bill Clark to retire from UAB. The Blazers will look for a successor, however no time table has been given. Bill Clark said it was the hardest decision he ever had to make on retiring from UAB Football. He is a legend in my eyes, for what he did for UAB Football was remarkable. He never had a losing season at UAB, and throughout his coaching career he was nothing short of greatness. He led UAB to division titles, conference titles, bowl wins, and contributed to UAB moving to the American Athletic Conference (which will officially happen on July 1, 2023). So Bill Clark was very loyal to UAB even after the shutdown (for 2 seasons), and was very instrumental in ‘The Return’. I did not have a chance to meet him at all, some of my friends have. This will no doubt be a huge blow to UAB, and where do they go from here. They will have to wait in 2 months when they play there 1st game without the legend. Thanks Bill Clark for restoring my faith in this UAB Football program
