Koreatown NYC…where should you eat?

Although here at SWiAM we cover where to eat before a game, it normally means a sports bar or something similar. In this little write up, I’ll be covering the best places to eat in Koreatown NYC whether you’re there before a game or you’re just visiting the city and really love food.

BCD Tofu House – The moment you walk in, you’re hit with a sense of positive brightness and colour that really dictate how your experience will go. The specialties here are the seafood tofu soup and hot pickled crab – much like it’s originator in LA.

Bon Chon – This massive chain is one of many like it in NYC however the Fried Chicken here is made fresh. The garlic and soy wings are an absolute winner.

Cho Dang Gol – Rustic is a word that comes to mind with this place, with the soybean curd the signature of the venue. Everything is made very delicately with even a great amount of detail going into the entrees.

Han Gawi – ‘Exotic’ is all I can say. It’s completely vegetarian so stay clear if you want some meat but the food here is delicious.

Kang Suh – Possibly one of the most well known Korean BBQ restaurants in all of NYC. Gas as replaced the fuel that’s used to cook but it’s still one of the best, if not the best.

Kyochon – Kyochon is the place you want to go if you want fried chicken and a good time. A fun vibe is riddled throughout the establishment and will leave you wanting more.

Obviously there is a plethora of restaurants to visit in Koreatown so venturing out yourself to find the best ones is encouraged but if you manage to experience any of the above, let us know on our website!
