Gilbert Arenas.  We all remember this man from the photo above, destroying his reputation by pulling a gun on a teammate in the locker room over a $1,100 debt.  Now he is making headlines for something rather than playing basketball, instead betting on it.

Arenas last played on the court in 2013 with the Shanghai Knights in China but still claims to have an eye for it as he went to his instagram account to let us all know that he’s so confident in Cleveland that he put $500,000 on it.  This was no Floyd Mayweather bet slip picture either saying #TMT or anything either.  It was more like a hype video ( no proof of the bet ) and a paragraph of trash talk you’d probably hear from him on the court or postgame.

In fact, why don’t you read the post he made for yourself:

“I just realized who #cavs were playing today lmaoooooo i just put $500k on #2016cavschamps..congrats #OHIO…while GS and OKC beat shit out of each…cavs are playing a first round team in the #easternconferanceFinals smdh sorry #toronto u have better chance seeing #obama get a 3rd term then beating the cavs hahahaha lets be honest UR last year #2014-2015 team would have blown this years toronto group out the building…#lowry #derozan, #ross and #drake will have to combine for 110 points to beat the cavs lmaoo #nobullshit drake has more of an impact on a game, then the rest of that team will hahaha FOOTBALL season must be near becuz my TV program says CAVS has a #byeweek….whoever cavs face in the CHIP will be #muthafuckntired UMMM can the NBA just replay LAST nights game tonight? i do not wanna see the Cavs play the D-League ALL-STARS tonight lmaoo i know they call themselves #The6 #realshit they just might NEED 6 players on the court at all times hahahaha “

I just hope that his money management is better than his spelling because to throw some coin down on a team that’s not being considered the greatest of all time like that of the Warriors is a pretty risky move, especially when they’re more than likely going to be the FAVORED opponent they have to go through in order to get you your payday.  What is that phrase that gamblers like myself throw around to justify their actions?  Oh yeah, scared money don’t make no money!!
