Quick day after blog of my notes from during and after the game. Guess in my prediction I was just really HOPING for a good game.
Post-Game Thoughts:
-Joe Burrow Threw 60 TD’s this year, eclipsing Colt Brennan of Hawaii, who played no one. Joe played EVERYONE.
-LSU beat the top four preseason teams in the AP Poll, by an AVERAGE of 21 points. That is just wrong.
LSU beat SEVEN of the top ten teams in the nation, at the time they played them.
-Joe Burrow threw one more TD this year only than the past four passing seasons for LSU COMBINED.
-We have never seen a team change offenses fully and have this fluid and unstoppable of result in the SAME year they changed.
-Joe Brady will be drafted by the Bengals, and I am not happy my Steelers have to face this guy, Baker, and Lamar TWICE a year minimally each. And isn’t Joe from Ohio? Perfect for that team.
-I have never seen Swinney and Venables out-adjusted during game or after halftime. Brady owned them.
-Playing the final game IN New Orleans was advantageous, but wasn’t so bad to not be able to overcome if Clemson.
-In my lifetime, this LSU team HAS to be put up with the 1995 Nebraska team and 2001 Miami team as the best teams ever.
-The 3rd and 10 RUN call where Brady ran it almost down to the goal line was probably my game-changing moment, unless you count the 3rd and 19 conversion RIGHT before it.
-Put my money on Trevor Lawrence to win the Heisman, as now that he has lost in college, he is going to be PISSED.
-I have never seen a college QB with the TIMING that Joe has on his throws. So accurate, so on time.
