As a lifelong Ipswich fan, Mark had always hoped to one day be supplying his team

Since business began back in 2004, Mark Harrod Ltd. has supplied the likes of Lord’s Cricket Ground, the London 2012 Olympics and Chelsea F.C. However, it wasn’t until December last year that our CEO Mark Harrod secured his dream client, Ipswich Town F.C.

As a lifelong Ipswich fan, Mark had always hoped to one day be supplying his team. That hope was realized on December 1st, when we became Ipswich Town F.C.’s exclusive supplier of sports equipment, contracted to provide everything from training equipment to goals.

We won the contract after developing a strong affiliation with the current Head Groundsman of Ipswich Town F.C., whom we have worked with previously at St Joseph’s College, Ipswich. Now as sole supplier to the Premiership club, our connection is with Matt Davies, the Stadium Groundsman at Portman Road. He had this to say:
“Mark Harrod Ltd. has a great reputation. We’re confident that your equipment will really benefit the stadium, and I for one am looking forward to the next few months.”

Our plan to upgrade Ipswich Town’s existing equipment has begun with the installation of new goals in The Dome, the club’s synthetic training centre on Portman Road. These upgrades come at a time when Ipswich Town is progressing well under the management of Mick McCarthy.

“Over the next few months we will be working with Ipswich Town F.C. to improve all of the equipment at Portman Road,” says Mark. “We want to make sure the team is in the best position to play and keep up their current good form – myself especially.”

It seems that when it comes to football teams, dream clients don’t have to be the biggest, or even the best – sometimes they can just be yours.
