Snow Tubes for Kids

There are many options available when it comes to Snow tubes for kids. Unfortunately, most of these are low quality tubes made of plastic that will either tear or come apart after a couple of rides. These types of tubes will definitely not live up to what you would experience in a commercial snow tube provided at snow tubing parks. This is one of the reasons why the majority of snow tubing parks do not allow you to use your own snow tube.

Despite this, there are quality snow tubes that you can use outside of snow tubing locations for your enjoyment! Three quality options are the Fat Tire,  Bradley and Tube Pro Snow Tubes.

Fat Tire Snow Tube
The Fat Tire snow tube has a 42 Inch Outer Diameter when inflated and is recommended for both adults and children ages 4+. The cover is made of heavy duty 1,000-denier nylon which is water repellent, mildew resistant and UV protected to deter the cover color from fading. The bottom of the tube is comprised of a  revolutionary 22 oz Xutte heavy duty fabric which Fat Tire claims makes it the fastest heavy duty snow tube. Other features include two foam grip handles and a leash for pulling the tube back up the hill. I recommend using the leash only to manually pull an empty tube back up the hill. The Fat Tire Snow Tube is not rated for towing by motorized vehicles.

Bradley Snow Tube
The Bradley snow tube has a 43 inch outer diameter when inflated. The cover is made of heavy duty 600-denier polyester which is mildew resistant and UV protected to deter the cover color from fading. The bottom of the tube is comprised of a slick heavy duty industrial vinyl. Unlike the Fat Tire, the handles are fabric and there is only a tow loop instead of a leash. I recommend using the tow loop only to manually pull an empty tube back up the hill.

Tube Pro Snow Tube
The Tube Pro snow tube has a 43 inch outer diameter and 20 inch inner diameter when inflated. The cover is comprised of 600-denier polyester while the bottom of the tube has a 40 oz custom urethane coating for added strength and superior cold crack resistance. Tube Pro also features two heavy duty support handles but does not have a tow loop or leash.
