PITTSBURGH – Diamond Kinetics is pleased to announce it has been named the Swing Analysis Provider of the Prospect Development Pipeline, a joint MLB and USA Baseball initiative.

A collaborative effort between MLB and USA Baseball, the PDP was created to establish an official identification and player development pathway for amateur baseball players in the United States. PDP events are conducted on an invite-only basis, and consist of approximately 40 of the best baseball players in selected regions all over the country.

As the Swing Analysis Provider of the PDP, Diamond Kinetics’ SwingTracker™ will be utilized and featured at current 2017 MLB Prospect Development Pipeline Premier events as part of player assessments and evaluations.

During PDP Premier events, athletes participate in performance vision screening, on-field wood bat batting practice inclusive of swing analysis, infield/outfield session, and select events; including on-field gameplay.

Providing instant insight and actionable feedback across 11 different swing metrics, within the four major components of the swing – Speed, Power, Quickness, and Control – SwingTracker is currently utilized by such highly-regarded establishments as Perfect Game and top, nationally ranked collegiate programs such as Oregon State and Louisville.

Moreover, SwingTracker is currently administered nationwide by renowned talent evaluator Prep Baseball Report for showcase events and player evaluation, and will be a key component of college prospect camps & college showcases at Oregon State, Louisville, Vanderbilt and Coastal Carolina this summer.
