Not to rain on anyone’s parade here, but despite the early season brilliance of the Mets, is it me or does it just feel like Bobby Cox and company are just kind of under their breath giggling at the exuberance in which the Mets are treating their hot start? It’s almost like they are staking the Mets to a lead, allowing them to beat their chests in bravado knowing full well they’ll be in control by late August. Just a hunch.

That hunch will be really real, if Jose Lima remains in the Met rotation.

Lima time means early tee time for a contending team.

Zambrano for Kazmir? That trade is looking uglier than the NHL’s television playoff ratings these days. It might even be looking uglier than Chris Shel….well, let’s just wait until Kazmir’s an All-Star…then maybe we’ll reach that level.
