Sunday, December 3, SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TODAY -

From The GateWay Of BAJA Racing, San Diego - BAJA Racing Hall Of FAME Makes The Move

By: Jose Salas II, Ensenada, BC

It all started in National City, at a company called Motivational Systems.

At the time, the marketing director for the company was serving as the camera stooge for the CABO 500 race event, being held next spring.

The structure of the Hall Of Fame was discussed as McMillin Company founder, Corky McMillin walked into the offices of the real estate media concern, in the middle of a busy business day.

Corky was no stranger to the group. McMillin Development was a client to Motivational Systems and the southbay San Diego businessman knew the principal of the racing event.

Through the founding of a local chamber of commerce and work with the South Bay Chambers of Commerce public benefit association, Corky and the principal talked off-road.

They both agreed, a vigorous and active hall of fame was needed for Off-Road and Baja Racing!

After talking about the CABO 500 and the state of the sport, Corky committed to support and contribute to the effort.

After the extended Vegas To Reno BITD event, the two began making plans.

The McMillin jefe saw the value of forming a public benefit association, that welcomed the hispanic community as equal partners with the gringos involved in the sport.

The so-called off road motorsports 'association', was going nowhere. Owned by Rod Hall and languishing with zero inductions for over six years, it was time to get moving.

Today, the 'off-road motorsports' group blocks all but the symbolic hispanic community.

"That group is not just racist, it's leader behind the scenes", Jackson Motorsports former 'chief race-death apologist', Frank De Angelo, was proven in Mexico, to have been responsible for the death of racer, Mark Luthala, during the 2016 Baja 1000.

DeAngelo has since retired from Jackson/BFGoodrich Tires/MICHELIN and continues to pull strings against racers across the industry.

Founded by the same "Monster Mike" who hand built the famous Baja Racing establishment 'Sky Rancho', Mikes-A-GoGo Bar in downtown Tijuana was the start of young Carlos Santana's career, playing lead guitar to the 'GoGo' dancers in the bar.

Mikes A GoGo Bar was the 'Go-To' business in Mexico, for the party oriented

Mike Leon made enough of a profit from the bar, he established and built his Sky Rancho, outside of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, for the "sporting types".
