PreRun Reports Start Here>>>

"Ensenada was slow going as usual (road construction/repairs). Mexico 1 was in good shape.....two or three detours and they were paved. We turned off Mexico 1 into Bay LA. The Bay LA road had several detours as we got close......they were well marked but were dirt. At Bay LA we un-hooked our Baja Bug and headed south. The dirt road going south from Bay LA was miserable! Rough and washed out with VERY rough detours. It only smoothed out at the El Arco turn off near El Barril and was a good dirt road from there to Mexico 1. Mexico 1 was good all the way to the San Nicolas turn off below Mulege. On our return to Bay LA we stayed on Mexico1 instead of repeating the nasty dirt road. The section of Mexico 1 to and by-passing Guerrero Negro was good getting back to the Bay LA turn off."

*October 10 Report:

Tesla Cybertruck Spotted with Starlink Dish in Southern Baja, Mexico

Tesla Cybertruck Fails in Southern Baja

BajaRacingNews Exclusive Report-

""La Paz, Baja California Sur - Last week, some people were fortunate enough to be surprised to see a pair of Cybertrucks, Tesla vehicles, passing by on the roads of Baja California Sur, where they were tested.

Even though they were followed by a RAM Truck support vehicle, one of the Teslas drove though a rain swollen stream and it destroyed the electronics. The team was forced to rebuild the battery system for over a week, in Southern Baja.

Through social networks, Tesla shared what it was like to test the Cybertruck, “on one of the most challenging routes in the world,” say company engineers. The engineers said, "be careful of the Los Cabos road challenges!"

The Tesla truck test was carried out last week with two Cybertrucks fresh from the assembly line, accompanied by a support team, they traveled “sandy roads surrounded by mountains, deserts and cacti, emulating (faking it) the popular Baja 1000 off-road race,” said staff from Tesla."

We have traveled the entire Baja California peninsula to almost the bottom in Cabo, 1,280 miles later," they comment during the video, "The team installed chargers in hotels along the route, so anyone with a Tesla can follow the same route as us," he added. While the Tesla Newswire channel of the spare. Now we know what the antenna was for!”

"Two Tesla Cybertrucks were spotted testing in Baja California, Mexico. They had additional accessories on the roof, including a Starlink dish on one of them.""

Our original reporting-

Two Cybertrucks were spotted in Baja California, Mexico. The sightings were reported by several observant people who were able to take photos and videos of the pickup trucks. These two Cybertrucks had an attractive wrap. Both were emblazoned with “Cybertruck”signature graffiti inscription. They differed only in the choice of colors for the inscription. However, this was not the only thing that distinguished the pickup trucks from others that have been seen on the roads previously.

The most notable was the Mobility Starlink dish installed on the roof of one of the Cybertrucks. According to Starlink's website, “Starlink Mobility works with Starlink's Flat High Performance hardware. With a wide field of view and enhanced GPS capabilities, the Flat High Performance can connect to more satellites, allowing for consistent connectivity on the go.”

Installing equipment on one of the Cybertrucks made it possible to stay in touch and have internet access for the entire caravan. This meant that the engineering team could send data obtained during testing to headquarters in real time. In addition, the Cybertrucks were equipped with racks. These were traditional roof racks with two cross bars, one above the B-pillar and the other at the end of the rear door. At this point, all photos and videos show that the racks were not used to transport anything, but were simply installed. However, it is possible that they were also tested at some point. We previously saw a Cybertruck with a rack during the groundbreaking ceremony for Tesla Lithium. Additionally, a light strip was seen attached to the top of the windshield, which we saw during the 2019 Cybertruck unveiling event. Since then, new prototypes have been seen without this strip. At the moment, it seems that Tesla may offer this as an optional accessory, with the option of retrofitting after purchase."

*The racing starts in November, prerunning has been going on, for months! The big teams have had the course map for weeks.

*The SCORE International Official Race Course was released Saturday, Sept 30.

*Baja California has been damaged by all of the bad press. On Saturday, Sept 30, at an 'industry fair' in San Diego, numerous speakers told the public, "please come to Baja and don't believe the stories about bad things happening in Baja California".

The speaker blamed "BAD MEDIA".

The fair was hilarious. A total flop, free for attendees, had less than 20 percent capacity. An example of how 'Baja' as a travel topic, is now forever damaged by the topics of, the border, the cartels and score racing deaths.

The hosting insurance company is well known by this reporting agency. Better liars, than service delivery. The marketing rep is known for drinking and driving.

*

So, it's not just the 'border news' and the 'cartel news', it's also the 'score news'.

All of the reasons people are avoiding travel to Baja Mexico. Baja Racing News is jumping into a deep dive, in all of this. The mess that is, "Baja Mexico".

Highlighted by the giant fuckups of Roger Norman and score international.

After years of notoriously hideous headlines, any wonder why international travelers avoid travel, "south of the border" anymore, the phrase today means, its your fault and how stupid can you be.

Then, there are the "racers". The circus freaks. The geeks, the shit show, the circus itself. The current example of the weird and crazy, this public emission:

"After breaking 18 bones, including his arms, ribs, vertebrae, and sternum in a massive crash at last year's Baja 1000 that required multiple surgeries, Giovanni Spinali will make his racing return at this year's edition in November. Once again competing in Pro Moto 50." Time Stamped Sept 28.

Baja Racing News will report on this real-life crash test dummy, playing circus freak in Roger Normans blood circus, the 2023 Baja 1000, next month.
