On the 29th of July, Yesterday, Ghana lost another real highlife legend, Daasebre Gyamena. All the Ghanaians especially his fellow artists in the music industry have been mourning over his demise. However, Daasebre Gyamenah’s family has recently announced that they won’t  follow the Islamic traditions, when it comes to the burial.

While speaking to the media, they revealed that, no doubt the late Highlife Artist was a Muslim, but we will not allow him to be buried as per the Ismalic traditions. He won’t be covered hours after death since he was a royal from the New Juaben Traditional Area. That’s why we must follow our own traditions.

Highlife legend, Daasebre Gyamenah passed away the age of 44. As indicated by his supervisor Papa Loggy, Daasebre passed away on Friday, while Undergoing Treatment at the 37 Military Hospital. Papa Loggy also affirmed the sad news to the media that Daasebre had not been well for quite a while and had been undergoing treatment since months.

When asked about the real source, the manager said, Daasebre’s wife let him know the sad news that the highlife legend died on the Friday morning at the 37 Military Hospital. Later on his body, exchanged to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) funeral home.
