Jose Mourinho believes that Paul Pogba can be the “heart” of Manchester United for the next 10 years after the France international re-joined the Red Devils in a world-record transfer deal this week.

The 23-year-old midfielder finally put an end to the speculation about his future by signing a five-year contract with United after completing a deal believed to be worth around £89m.
Pobga re-joins United four years after leaving the club for next to nothing in 2012, when he was deemed to be surplus to requirements by then manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Mourinho will be hoping that Pogba can slot straight into his team ahead of United’s Premier League opener against Bournemouth on Sunday.
And the United boss was clearly thrilled to see the club finally complete the deal in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
“Paul is one of the best players in the world and will be a key part of the United team I want to build here for the future,” Mourinho told Manchester United’s website.
“He is quick, strong, scores goals and reads the game better than many players much older than he is.
“At 23, he has the chance to make that position his own here over many years.
“He is young and will continue to improve; he has the chance to be at the heart of this club for the next decade and beyond.”

Pogba himself admitted that he is looking forward to working under Mourinho, who was appointed as the club’s new manager back in May after the sacking of Louis van Gaal.
“I am delighted to rejoin United,” said Pogba.
“It has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to working with Jose Mourinho.”
Manchester United finished fifth and won the FA Cup under Van Gaal last season. The Red Devils lifted the Community Shield under Mourinho on Sunday.
