Charlie Nicholas is predicting “more woes” for Tottenham Hotspur when they host Watford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Lilywhites have made a stuttering start to the new season and they currently find themselves down in ninth spot in the table after having only won two of their last five games in the top flight.
Indeed, Tottenham have only won three of their opening eight Premier League games to leave them well off the pace in the race for the Premier League title.
The north Londoners will be looking to try and return to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend when they welcome Watford to their home ground.
However, former Arsenal star Nicholas is tipping Watford to leave north London with a point this weekend and frustrate Mauricio Pochettino’s men by claiming a 1-1 draw.
Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “Watford will be working away with Quique Sanchez Flores, despite some poor results since coming back to the club, with Tottenham coming back at sixes and sevens after the international break. They are all over the place.
“Christian Eriksen remains unhappy, Dele Alli did not receive an England call-up, with their unpredictable defence topping it off. More woes for Tottenham.”
Tottenham – who lost 3-0 to Brighton last time out – will return to Champions League action next week with a home clash against Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday 22 October.
