Tammy Abraham aims to follow in Didier Drogba’s footsteps at Chelsea FC

Tammy Abraham has revealed that he is aiming to follow in the footsteps of his footballing idol Didier Drogba at Chelsea FC.

The young striker has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea FC team so far this season after Frank Lampard placed his faith in the forward.

The 21-year-old has rewarded Lampard’s faith by scoring an impressive four goals in four Premier League appearances for the Blues so far this season.

Abraham has now revealed that he his a huge admirer of Blues legend Drogba and he is hoping to follow in the footsteps of the former Ivory Coast forward.

Speaking in an interview with the Daily Mirror, Abraham said: “I have so many stories from when I was younger watching him [Drogba], growing up watching such a talented striker.

“I’ve always wanted to be like him, always hungry to score goals.”

“Just looking at him he had that appearance about him. And I’ve always wanted to add that to my game. So to follow in his footsteps [as the club’s main striker] is always nice.”

Abraham will be hoping to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action on Saturday with a trip to Wolves.

The west London side are aiming to return to winning ways after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge last time out.

Chelsea FC’s last Premier League triumph came under Antonio Conte in 2017 – and they are aiming to at least maintain their position in the top four this season under Lampard.
