Sky Sports pundit predicts where Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC will finish

Graeme Souness is tipping Liverpool FC and Manchester City to be the main challengers for the Premier League title this season – and says neither Chelsea FC or Arsenal will finish in the top four.

Liverpool FC will be hoping to go one step further than they did last season when the take on Manchester City in the title race again this term.

Jurgen Klopp’s side finished just a point behind the Citizens in the Premier League table as Pep Guardiola’s men successfully defended their top flight title.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been busy in the summer transfer market and completed the signing of Harry Maguire from Leicester City this week.

Former Liverpool FC star Souness feels that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are likely to make up the remaining top-four spots behind Manchester City and Liverpool FC.

And he believes that neither Arsenal nor Chelsea FC are good enough to be able to finish in the top four this season.

Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Souness said: “I still think, even though Maguire will make them [Man United] better, it doesn’t make them good enough to challenge at the top.

“I see it being between the big two again [champions Manchester City and runners-up Liverpool. The nearest challengers will be Tottenham – and after that United.

“Neither Arsenal or Chelsea are good enough.”

Liverpool FC will get the new Premier League season under way when they take on Norwich City at Anfield on Friday night.

Manchester City will then travel to West Ham United on Saturday lunchtime.
