Manchester United are keeping tabs on Lyon striker Moussa Dembele ahead of the summer transfer window, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are interested in the former Celtic forward following Dembele’s impressive performances in Ligue 1 this season.
The same article states that Manchester United could face competition from Arsenal given that Unai Emery is a long-term admirer of the 22-year-old.
According to the same story, Arsenal could struggle to afford Dembele in the upcoming window, even if Emery’s side do qualify for the Champions League.
The Daily Mirror report suggests that Manchester United will not have any trouble putting together a financial package to lure Dembele to Old Trafford.
The story goes on to say that Lyon are prepared to fight to keep Dembele at the Ligue 1 side beyond the summer despite interest from the Premier League.
Former Celtic forward Dembele has scored 12 times and has made four assists in 22 games in Ligue 1 this season to make his mark on the French top flight.
Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of different players in the summer transfer window as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to improve his squad.
The Red Devils were 2-1 winners against West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
