Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned Manchester United that Paris Saint-Germain have talent in every position ahead of their Champions League clash on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils will welcome the Ligue 1 champions to Old Trafford in the first leg of their round of 16 clash as Manchester United look to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since 2014.
Manchester United have already been handed a big boost following injuries to the world’s most expensive player Neymar and prolific Uruguay forward Edinson Cavani.
Solskjaer’s side remain underdogs for the Champions League Clash but Manchester United go into the European tie in a rich vein of form following 11 games unbeaten in all competitions.
The Norwegian boss hasn’t tasted a defeat since the 1999 Champions League winner replaced Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford in mid-December.
While Manchester United have beaten Arsenal and Tottenham under their interim manager, their clash against PSG represents their biggest test under Solskjaer so far.
And the Red Devils manager is aware of the talent that Thomas Tuchel will have at his disposal for PSG’s trip to Old Trafford.
“Paris Saint-Germain is one of the toughest [draws] you can get, but one we look forward to, I have to say,” Solskjaer told UEFA. “Their front three is probably the best front three outside of Manchester.
”They have top, top players in every position: the back four, the three in midfield, the front three – who are all fantastic. And Tuchel is very good tactically. He can play 3-4-3 or he can go with a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3. So we can’t prepare any specific tactics. We have to concentrate on ourselves, to play our brand of football.
“If we do that, I think we can give them a good fight.”
Manchester United drew the first leg at Sevilla 0-0 but were beaten 2-1 in the home second leg in the Champions League round of 16 under Mourinho last season.
The surprise loss to the Spanish side ended a 21-match unbeaten run in Europe at Old Trafford since a 2-1 reversal against Real Madrid in 2013.
