Fabinho sends message to Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp

Fabinho has said that he is ready to make his competitive debut for Liverpool FC after having not featured in their first four league games this season.

The holding-midfielder joined Liverpool FC from Monaco for a reported £40m during the summer after five years in the principality.

He believes that he has adapted to the rigours of English football and is ready to start making a serious contribution for the Reds.

“My start has been good, good adaptation,” he said to Globo Esporte.

“The pre-season was very good, we had nine friendlies and I played nine.

“It was good to play against English teams to see what the rhythm, the intensity and the physique is like.

“I am adapting to the team’s style of play.

“The more experienced players have helped me, the technical team as well.”

Fabinho initially spent two years on loan at former club Monaco from Portuguese side Rio Ave between 2013-15, as well as a brief loan to Real Madrid where he made a solitary appearance.

He then joined Monaco for a reported £5.4m where he was part of the squad that reached the Champions League semi-final in 2017 where they lost to Juventus.

They took the scalps of Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund in the process, and also got out of a group with Tottenham Hotspur in it.

His performances at Monaco led to plenty of potential suitors circling for his signature, but he and his club eventually settled on Liverpool FC this summer.

He appeared nine times in pre-season but has found himself kept out of the first-team by Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Georginio Wijnaldum, and fellow new-signing Naby Keïta.
