Steve Nicol sends message to Christian Pulisic about Liverpool FC move

Steve Nicol has urged Liverpool FC target Christian Pulisic to remain at Borussia Dortmund for another season.

The Reds are thought to be in the market to sign another attack to help fill the void left by Philippe Coutinho.

Liverpool FC were thought to be close to a deal to sign Lyon captain Nabil Fekir before the transfer move collapsed.

The Merseyside outfit have already signed Stoke City forward Xherdan Shaqiri in a cut price £13.5m deal.

Liverpool FC have held a long-term interest in the United States international following his emergence at Borussia Dortmund.

Pulisic scored two goals and made an assist in Dortmund’s 3-1 victory over Liverpool FC in the International Champions Cup.

Former Liverpool FC defender Nicol has urged Pulisic to remain at Dortmund for at least another 12 months.

“He has to stay at Dortmund this year,” Nicol told ESPN FC. “It is a big season for him. Maybe next year Klopp might come knocking.”

Liverpool FC signed Brazil international Fabinho and Guinea star Naby Keita to improve their options in the middle of the park.

The Reds have also signed Shaqiri from Stoke City after the Potters were relegated to the Championship.

The Merseyside outfit spent a world record fee for a goalkeeper on Alisson Becker to sign the Brazilian in a £75m deal.
