Alvaro Morata sends Chelsea FC message to Cesar Azpilicueta

Alvaro Morata has thanks Cesar Azpiliceuta after his team-mate set up his goal in Chelsea FC’s victory over Southampton in the FA Cup semi-finals on Sunday.

Azpilicueta provided Morata with a superb cross, which the Spanish striker duly headed home just moments after coming on as a substitute at Wembley.

Olivier Giroud had given Chelsea FC the lead early in the second half and Morata’s goal helped the Blues to wrap up a 2-0 victory to book their place in the final.

Chelsea FC will now take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley next month as they look to try and finish the season on a high by lifting a trophy.

Morata admits that he should have scored twice against Southampton but he was still grateful to Azpilicueta for his fine cross.

Speaking to Chelsea FC’s website after the game, Morata said: “It was a very good match.

“I could have scored another goal at the last moment, I was a little bit unlucky but we are in the final and that’s the most important thing, we are happy.

“I always say thanks to Azpi because this year he knows where I want the ball and it’s great to have all of the assists from him.”

Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their trip to Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday evening as they look to finish as highly as possible in the table.

The Blues are currently in fifth place in the Premier League as they look to try and break back into the top four before the season is out.
