Frank Lampard praised the “incredible” Eden Hazard after Chelsea FC booked their place in the FA Cup final thanks to a 2-0 win over Southampton at Wembley.
After a goalless first half at Wembley, Olivier Giroud gave the Blues the lead in the second half with a fine solo effort and finish from close range.
Substitute Alvaro Morata them made it 2-0 to the west London club when he headed home Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross moments after coming on.

Hazard was at his sublime best throughout the game and was named as the man of the match following his brilliant display for Antonio Conte’s men.
Chelsea FC legend Lampard said he felt that the victory for the Blues was thoroughly deserved and heaped praise on Hazard following his sparkling display.
Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Lampard said: “It was a case of job done for Chelsea.
“Sometimes going into a game like this, when your season’s [depending] on it and you’re favourites – they’re not easy to approach.
“They got the result that they deserved and had a couple of elements of good fortune in the second half. Generally, the performance, and Eden Hazard was incredible today.”
Chelsea FC will now take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final next month as they look to end what has been a difficult season on a positive note.
The Blues are also trying to catch Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Champions League qualification, with Chelsea FC currently fifth and five points behind fourth-placed Spurs.
