Antonio Conte has underlined the Chelsea FC squad’s desire to fight against the speculation surrounding the manager’s future.

The Italian coach has endured a tricky second seasons at Stamford Bridge despite leading Chelsea FC to Premier League title glory with two games to spare last term.

Chelsea FC lost back-to-back Premier League games to Bournemouth and Watford after conceding a staggering seven times in the two defeats to heap pressure on Conte.

The Blues boss was thought to be on the brink of the sack after Chelsea FC dropped down to fourth place in the Premier League table.

Indeed, former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique was touted as a potential candidate to replace Conte at Stamford Bridge.

In fact, the title holders were momentarily relegated to fifth spot after Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 win against Arsenal in the north London derby at Wembley on Saturday.

However, Chelsea FC’s 3-0 win over 20th-placed West Brom on Monday night hoisted the west London club back into the Premier League’s top four.

Speaking at his post-match media conference following a comfortable win over the Baggies, Conte responded to speculation about his future.

“We are getting used with the speculation,” Conte said.

“My players know very well what our work is and what we have to do. For sure we are going to try to fight against this speculation.

“There is only one way, to win and play good football. I think until the end we continue to live with this speculation. For me it is not important.”

Chelsea FC have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons.
