Liverpool FC cool interest in signing 22-year-old attacker this summer – report

Liverpool FC have cooled their interest in signing Thomas Lemar this summer and will instead focus their attentions on signing other players, according to reports in the British media.

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Reds are set to focus their recruitment efforts elsewhere as they look to try and strengthen their squad in the Summer transfer window.

The Reds were heavily linked with a move to sign the 22-year-old France international from Monaco last summer along with Arsenal, but a transfer for the forward failed to materialise for the attacker.

The same report now says that Lemar is no longer on the list of transfer targets that the Reds are considering ahead of the Summer Transfer window.

Liverpool FC are thought to be on the lookout for some attacking reinforcements this summer after they agreed to sell Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona last month.

However, the article claims that the Reds are no longer pursuing a deal to sign Lemar from Monaco and are instead focusing their efforts elsewhere ahead of the summer transfer window.

Lemar has scored two goals and made five assists in 16 Ligue 1 games for Monaco so far this season.
