Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang broke his silence on Instagram with a cryptic message amid ongoing speculation linking the Borussia Dortmund striker with a move to Arsenal.

The Gabon international has been touted as a possible candidate to replace Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates Stadium following the Chilean’s move to Manchester United last week.

The South American has been consistently the north London side’s top goal-scorer since his move to Arsenal from La Liga giants Barcelona in 2014.

Aubameyang has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League in recent seasons, although Liverpool FC has usually been touted as a possible destination given Jurgen Klopp signed the African for Dortmund.

However, the Gunners have been in negotiations with the Bundesliga side to sign the 28-year-old striker in the January transfer window.

According to the latest reports in the British media, Arsenal and Dortmund are still negotiating over a transfer fee.

But in his typical carefree manner, Aubameyang took to Instagram to post the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“Hate me or love me #aubameyang”

Arsenal are in sixth place in the Premier League table and five points adrift of Liverpool FC, who are in the final Champions League qualifying spot.
