Pedro makes revealing admission about Alvaro Morata at Chelsea

Pedro Rodriguez has revealed that Alvaro Morata is “shy but funny” following the striker’s transfer to Chelsea in the summer.

Morata is currently getting to grips with life at Stamford Bridge after he left Real Madrid to sign for the Blues back in July.

Pedro already knows the striker well, having lined up with him at international level for Spain in recent years.

The 24-year-old forward has been in fine form so far this season, after having scored six goals in his first seven Premier League outings for the Blues.

And the Spain attacker has lifted the lid on what both Morata and Cesc Fabregas are like behind the scenes at Chelsea.

Pedro told Chelsea’s website: “Alvaro is quite shy, but very funny inside the dressing room.

“Cesc is also funny with a great character. He has been here longer and he was a big help to myself, and now Alvaro, when we first arrived, which makes it easier to adapt.

“I’ve known them both a long time. They are fantastic guys and fantastic players.”

All three players will be hoping to feature for Chelsea on Saturday when the Blues return to Premier League action with a home clash against Watford at Stamford Bridge.

The west London side are aiming to get back to winning ways in the top flight this season after their disappointing back to back defeats by Manchester City and Crystal Palace in recent weeks.

Those losses have left Antonio Conte’s men nine points behind leaders Manchester City after just eight games of the new campaign.
