Jose Mourinho has told Manchester United fans that Luke Shaw is fit and ready to feature for the Red Devils, but that he now needs to find his form.

The England international has yet to make a single appearance for the Red Devils this season after missing the start of the campaign due to an injury.

However, Mourinho has now confirmed that the 22-year-old defender is once again available for selection.

But the Manchester United boss has suggested that he will not rush Shaw back into the team until he has proven that he is ready for a place in the team.

Speaking at his pre-match news conference on Friday, Mourinho said: “Shaw is not injured anymore, so it’s a question of form, it’s a question of option but he’s recovered.”

The Manchester United boss also revealed that defender Marcos Rojo is still some way away from being able to make a return to the first team for the Red Devils.

He added: “Rojo is still in the timings after such an important injury, everything went really well but he’s not even training with the group in normal sessions, he’s just doing parts of it.”

Manchester United are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon as the Red Devils look to get back to winning ways in the top flight.

Mourinho’s men dropped their first Premier League points of the season last weekend when they were held to a 2-2 draw by Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.
