Michael Owen delivers his prediction for Arsenal v Bournemouth

Michael Owen is backing Arsenal to return to winning ways in the Premier League with victory over Bournemouth at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners have found themselves under intense pressure in recent weeks after having lost their last two Premier League games to leave them languishing in 16th place in the table.

Arsenal were thrashed 4-0 by Liverpool in their most recent Premier League outing before the international break.

However, former Liverpool striker Owen is tipping the Gunners to have too much for the Cherries on Saturday afternoon.

Owen wrote in his column for BetVictor: “The Gunners look the most likely of the top six, if any, to lose their position amongst the top sextet.

“Nevertheless, Arsene Wenger’s side should have too much quality in the final third when hosting Bournemouth at The Emirates.

“It will be fascinating to see how the crowd reacts if Arsenal go behind early, with the crowd getting on the backs of both the players and the manager early in the Gunners’ recent defeats at Stoke and Liverpool.”

Arsenal are aiming to improve on their disappointing fifth-placed finish in the Premier League table last season.

The Gunners have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.

They have already lost to both Liverpool and Stoke City on the road this term in what has been a stuttering start for the Gunners under Arsene Wenger.
