Alexis Sanchez has admitted that he is a huge admirer of Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi.

The Nigeria international has become a firm favourite amongst Arsenal fans since recently breaking into the first team at The Emirates.

The 21-year-old scored three goals and made three assists in 26 Premier League games for the Gunners last season as the north London side finished fifth in the Premier League.

Iwobi is widely regarded as one of Arsenal’s brightest prospects and Sanchez has revealed that he is a keen admirer of the young midfielder.

“I really like Alex,” Sanchez told Arsenal’s website. “He’s a player that can play up front, in the centre, he’s good at one on ones.

“If he has a winning mentality and keeps pushing forward I think he can do very well. I really like him.”

Arsenal confirmed their first signing of the summer last week when they announced they had agreed a deal to bring left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke.

The north London side, who won the FA Cup last term, continue to be linked with a host of players this summer as they prepare to try and challenge for the title next season.
