Bryan Robson says he wants to see Jose Mourinho bring “flair” players to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a number of players in recent days but have so far only confirmed the signing of defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.

Mourinho is likely to want to significantly strengthen his squad this summer as he prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.

The Red Devils are particularly likely to want to bring in attacking reinforcements following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure and the future of Wayne Rooney remaining uncertain.

And Manchester United legend Robson feels that the Red Devils just need some top quality additions to help them be able to mount a title challenge next season.

Speaking to Manchester United’s website, Robson said: “We are a difficult team to beat now and what you can do, if you set your stall out that way to be difficult to beat, is to then add a few flair players to that squad.

“All of a sudden, you’re winning a lot more games than you’re drawing. So I can see us up there challenging for the title next season.”

Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League and won the Europa League and EFL Cup under Mourinho last season.
