Antonio Valencia has dedicated a birthday message to Paul Pogba as Manchester United gear up for the visit of FC Rostov.

The world-record signing has endured a tough week so far after Manchester United’s 1-0 loss to Premier League leaders Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-final.

The Ecuador international has been playing alongside the France defensive midfielder over the course of the 2016-17 season following Pogba’s big-money move.

Pogba and Valencia helped the Red Devils to secure their first piece of silverware under Jose Mourinho after a 3-2 win against Southampton in the EFL Cup final last month.

The South American appears to have struck up a good friendship with Pogba after the defender posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption to celebrate the Frenchman’s 24th birthday:

“Happy Birthday brother @paulpogba”

Manchester United are in sixth place in the Premier League table and 17 points behind current leaders Chelsea.

The Red Devils signed four players in last summer’s transfer window after Mourinho signed Pogba, Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
