Frank Lampard reacts to Eden Hazard’s display in Chelsea’s 2-1 win at West Ham

Frank Lampard believes Eden Hazard has rediscovered his best form for Chelsea after his performance in Monday night’s 2-1 win at West Ham United.

The Belgium international proved a thorn in West Ham’s side after the 26-year-old produced an influential display at the London Stadium to help the Blues extend their lead at the top of the table.

Hazard broke the deadlock in the 25th minute after the Belgium forward combined with Pedro Rodriguez to break the deadlock with a superb counter-attacking goal.

N’Golo Kante fed the ball to Hazard before the Chelsea number ten exchanged touches with Pedro before rounding the West Ham goalkeeper and placing a finish into the vacated net.

Speaking to Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show about Hazard’s influential performance at the London Stadium, former Chelsea midfielder Lampard said:

“You can see when a player is at the top of their game. He is running at people. He is fronting people up.

“It is the Eden Hazard that we saw two years ago when he won the title. I think he is getting in positions centrally where he is really affecting games.”
