Paul Pogba has heaped praise on Anthony Martial following his recent improved displays for Manchester United.

The French striker has been in fine form for the Red Devils in recent weeks and has earned plenty of praise for his performances of late.

The forward had been struggling to make much of an impact at Old Trafford under new boss Jose Mourinho at the start of the season but has been showing signs of improvement in recent weeks.

Pogba is enjoying his first season playing alongside Martial at club level following his world-record transfer move back to Old Trafford from Juventus in the summer.

And his France team-mate has been thrilled by Martial’s recent good performances for the Red Devils.

Speaking to MUTV after Thursday’s 3-0 win over Saint-Etienne in the Europa League, Pogba said: “Anthony was, as you can see, very dangerous [against Saint-Etienne].

“He’s been playing very well so far and helps the team a lot, that’s what we need from him.

“Everyone knows his capacity and what he can do and when he’s confident like this nobody can stop him.

“The team is doing well and we want to keep it up like that.”
