Nathan Ake expressed his delight to help Chelsea to secure their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday evening after a 2-0 win at Wolves.

The Netherlands defender returned to Chelsea in the January transfer window after the versatile player had impressed during a loan spell at Bournemouth.

Indeed, Ake became a mainstay of the Bournemouth side as Eddie Howe’s side racked up a number of impressive victories in the first half of the season.

Chelsea recalled the defender last month as Blues head coach Antonio Conte looked to add depth to his squad in the Premier League title race.

Ake started alongside John Terry and Kurt Zouma in the fifth-round clash as Chelsea secured a 2-0 win against Wolves.

And the Chelsea starlet took to Instagram to post the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“Happy to celebrate my 22nd birthday with a win! Tough game but through to the next round! Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!”

Chelsea are eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
