Owen Hargreaves is tipping Tottenham and Manchester City to close the gap to Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title this season.

Chelsea are the heavy 1/10 favourites to win the title this term after they pulled nine points clear at the top of the table following their 3-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday.

Tottenham are currently second as they returned to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at White Hart Lane over the weekend.

Manchester City, meanwhile, moved up to third place with victory over Swansea on Sunday.

Chelsea are the clear favourites to lift the trophy in May, but Hargreaves feels that there are set to be plenty more twists and turns in the title race in the coming weeks and months.

Speaking to BT Sport on Saturday night, Hargreaves said: “Chelsea are going to win it because they’re the most consistent team – but I think Spurs and City are going to make it more interesting than it is right now.”
