Pundit: Anthony Martial won’t be at Manchester United in two years

Anthony Martial isn’t good enough for Manchester United, according to Eamon Dunphy.

The France international has struggled to find his best form under new manager Jose Mourinho this term despite enjoying a successful first season at Old Trafford.

Manchester United signed Martial in a £36m deal which could rise to £53m from Ligue 1 side Monaco in the 2015 summer transfer window during Louis van Gaal’s spell in charge.

Martial scored 11 times in 49 appearances in all competitions in his first campaign at the 20-time English champions, including a goal on his debut in a 3-1 win against Liverpool.

However, Martial has only scored three times and has made just two assists in 13 appearances in the Premier League this term.

Speaking to Irish radio station RTE 2fm, former Manchester United midfielder and current RTE pundit Dunphy claimed that Martial isn’t good enough to play for the Red Devils.

“Martial’s transfer fee from Monaco was £36m which could rise to £53m including add-ons. Add-ons are him scoring a goal or making an appearance. He won’t be at Manchester United in a year or two’s time. He’s just no good.”
