The bookies make it 10/11 the Southampton man heads to Manchester United, with Everton some way behind at 10/3.
Arsenal have emerged as surprise challengers, with 11/2 for the Gunners to end his six year stay on the south coast – while a return to Crystal Palace is priced up at 8s.
Wherever he goes, Fonte’s exit looks sure to be soon, with 6/4 he exits St Mary’s as early as January, while 8/13 says the Euro 2016 winner will be gone by the end of the summer Transfer window.
Ladbrokes News’ Dave Burin said: “Mourinho is on course to make a Fonte-astic signing, with United galloping ahead in the race to sign the Portuguese powerhouse.”
