There is big news out of the NCAA today. Freshman sensation Harrison Barnes will be returning to the University of North Carolina for his sophomore season. He will forgo his lottery pick status to come back to North Carolina and try to win Roy Williams a banner. Does Harrison Barnes' return make North Carolina favorites to win it all in 2012?

Absolutely.

Harrison Barnes will be coming back with Tyler Zeller, John Henson, Dexter Strickland and standout freshman point guard from last season, Kendall Marshall. This team was 29-8 last season making its way all the way to the Elite Eight. With another season of experience under their belt, this could be a very dangerous team this upcoming season.

Was this a good decision for Harrison Barnes though? I don't know a whole lot of people who would turn down millions of dollars in the NBA to play in college for another year. What if he does not play up to the heightened expectations put on him this year? What if he gets hurt? His draft stock will plummet and he could be without a contract if the NBA follows the suit already implemented by the NFL and a lockout starts to loom. This could be a terrible decision for the youngster.

It also could be a great move.

He lives up to the hype, wins a National Championship and is the overall unanimous #1 pick in 2013.

With all this talent on this team, anything less than a National Championship will be a disappointment for this basketball club, and why shouldn't it? The talent on this team could arguably be the best that Roy Williams has ever coached, and if the Tar Heels can get off to a better start than they did this last season, they could easily be the #1 seed overall going into the tournament and make a very deep run into the tournament.
