The NBA Draft is still quite far away, but with everyone's eligibility now being pretty much declared, we have a broad sense of who is going to be coming out for the draft and who is staying in school. I have run a simulation off of ESPN.com's analyst Chad Forde's mock lottery. I have taken the random order selected, and based off the needs of the specific teams and the players available, I have made my first NBA Mock Draft for the first 14 picks. Let's start it off with the #1 pick in Minnesota.
1. Minnesota Timberwolves- PG Kyrie Irving- Duke
2. Cleveland Cavaliers- C Enes Kanter- Turkey
3. Toronto Raptors- PF Jonus Valanciunas- Lithuania
4. Washington Wizards- SF Derrick Williams- Arizona
5. Sacramento Kings- PG Brandon Knight- Kentucky
6. Utah Jazz- PG Kemba Walker- Connecticut
7. Detroit Pistons- PF Terrence Jones- Kentucky
8. Cleveland Cavaliers- (Again)- PF Jan Vesely- Czech
9. Charlotte Bobcats- PF Bismack Biyombo- Spain
10. Milwaukee Bucks- SF Jordan Hamilton- Texas
11. Golden St. Warriors- PF Tristan Thompson- Texas
12. Utah Jazz- (Again)- PF Kawhi Leaonard- San Diego St.
13. Phoenix Suns- SG Alec Burks- Colorado
14. Houston Rockets- G Jimmer Fredette- BYU
This is what I have compiled from a variety of different sites, such as ESPN, thebleacherreport.com, along with Chad Ford's rankings. Along with what I see necessary for the specific team, along with who is available at the given time during the draft. This would be the most beneficial solution for each team, trying to fill a void.
That being said, you heard it here first, at The Sports Guru.
