In 1962 an African American Child was born. His name, Anthony Charles Eason.

Being that his father was enlisted in the Unites States Marine Corps, He grew up traveling the world.

At the age of 12, living in South Carolina, he began to feel that he was different from his immediate surroundings.

At the age of 14, in 8th grade, people began to bully him.

Around school he was repeatedly referred to as a faggot, a sissy, a nigger, an Oreo Cookie, or a homosexual.

By the age of 16, he became frustrated.  He did not understand: "why people were Bullying him.

By the time he finished high school, he had no idea what he did to cause such a reaction.  But he knew, this bullying has to stop.

At the age of 17, tired of being ostracized and bullied.  He began to fight back while simultaneously searching out help.

At the age of 18, while attending San Diego State University, he found help.

Through the SDSU Student counseling services, he found a Community who accepted him for who he was...

And as his community of friends grew:
He realized; he had done nothing to deserve the abuse and bullying he received during his childhood.
He realize; every individual is unique.
He realized; regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation, hair color or gender identification; no individual deserves to be abused, bullied, ostracized, or made fun of....

He realize; although we come into the world alone, We are not alone. And by fighting back, seeking out counseling, and finding our unique community of friends; It Get's better!

Presently, things have become "hella better" in the life of Anthony Charles Eason.

On 26 June 2015, Anthony Charles Eason's prayers were heard ...

For the first time ever; he felt legally "equal" to his heterosexual counterparts.
For the first time ever; "a deeply rooted sense of shame" completely dissipated.
For the first time ever; he felt a strong foundation on which to build "a home."

You see, as a 52 yr. old African American gay male living in San Francisco,  Anthony Charles Eason never believed that he would receive equal protection of the laws [in this lifetime].

Yet Friday,  26 June 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court Ruled [Obergefell v. Hodges] that same-sex / gay couples can marry nationwide, establishing a new civil right.   The court ruled that the denial of marriage licenses to same-sex couples violates the Due Process and Equal Protection clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment of the Untied States Constitution.
