Notes:
Hidden behind the drama of A-Rod's clutch home run is Chien-Ming Wang's stellar performance. Wang pitched 8 innings, giving up only two runs ( 91 pitches). Rivera also did an excellent job out of the pen.
But in the botom of the tenth, with a runner on first ( one out and the Yanks down by one run) Alex Rodriguez hit a much-needed, walk-off home run into the left field bleachers. Rodriguez tossed his bat, flipped his helmet, and dove into his teammates awaiting him at home plate!
